The 5th China-Eurasia Expo aimed to boost the regional economic cooperation among Central, West & South Asian and European countries and to further expand the collaboration in multilateral fields is scheduled to be held from September 02-07, 2015 and last date for the submission of applications for participation in the expo is March 30, 2015. The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) has invited Pakistani traders to participate in 5th China-Eurasia Expo to be held in Urumqi, capital of Xinjiang, China.

Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain to visit Azerbaijan for talks on bilateral ties and economic cooperation. The President will lead a delegation of businessmen from Pakistan’s textile, energy, pharmaceutical, sports, infrastructure, construction material, surgical instruments, food products and leather goods.

He will be in Azerbaijan from March 11-14 and will be meeting Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev.

Four agreements will be signed and a Trade and Investment Seminar will be held during the visit.

The UAE is Pakistan’s largest trading partner. Trade between the two countries can expand further if there is improvement in the business climate, the trade regime, and public sector enterprises to increase foreign and domestic private investment and boost economic growth, said Ashraf Wathra, Governor of State Bank of Pakistan at the conference held in Dubai by IMF and Pakistan Minister of Finance.

The bilateral trade between UAE and Pakistan stood at $9 billion (Dh33.03 billion) in 2014 and there is a vast potential to boost trade and business relations between the two countries.

Euro Zone accounts for about 18.5 percent of India’s exports and traditional sectors. The sharp and deep depreciation of the Euro would affect India’s exports to Euro Zone significantly According to Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO).

Sectors of exports that are heavily concentrated in the Euro Zone are apparel (USD 6.4 billion), other textiles (USD 5.6 billion), leather and leather products (USD 3.2 billion), gems and jewellery (USD 4.0 billion) and machinery (USD 5.5 billion).

Indonesia to expand bilateral ties with the East Asian nation plans to urge Japan to review the economic partnership agreement. The Indonesia-Japan economic partnership agreement (IJ-EPA) was implemented by both countries since 2008 and after a five-year period, both parties have been given the chance to re-evaluate the execution.

Indonesia claims it has benefited less than expected from the partnership and has requested a review several times, including the latest effort made during the term of former trade minister Muhammad Lutfi.
