Auro Textiles and Mahavir Spinning Mills, both subsidiaries of Vardhman Textiles, who had proposed for setting up two major units in Himachal Pradesh has received approval. The green signal was given by the single window clearance and monitoring authority at its meeting which was presided over by Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh. Auro Textiles has proposed to invest Rs.22,858 lakh with employment potential of 392 people, while Mahavir Spining Mills proposed to invest Rs.33,028 lakh with employment potential of 860 people.

Non-traditional exports from Peru are expected to post a 15 percent growth in 2014 from last year, mainly driven by shipments of agricultural products, clothing exports, and other value-added products. Govt to offer 50 pc subsidy on freight charges to boost handloom and textile exports

The government to boost its MSME (micro, small and medium enterprises) products in international markets has decided to give upto 50 percent subsidy to exporters on total freight charges paid on good shipped through ports outside the State.

According to the draft export policy, the exporter will get reimbursement upto 50 per cent on the total cost of transportation subject to a ceiling of Rs.50, 000 on goods shipped outside State port, provided ports within the State do not have facilities for handling such cargo.
