The unit is also required to fill the DPR field as per the Format enclosed at the time UID application and the Lending Agency has to digitally sign it, it said. The Ministry circular said that the modifications are being carried out in iTUFS software accordingly and it will be implemented with effect from August 30, 2018.The beneficiary units and Lending agencies have been asked to make necessary arrangements so that they could apply with digital signatures, on or before August 30, 2018.

Speaking on the occasion as chief guest, West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, Ram Singh said that considering the topography of the region, the Central Government has launched the scheme in the year 2015 mainly for the North Eastern Region which aims to control soil erosion, protection of hill slope and reservoir lining for water retention during road construction. He therefore, urged the concerned officials to utilise these scheme properly and wherever necessary with the help of technical expert adding that the scheme should not go to waste like few other projects implemented in the state.

Bivoltine silk likely to see rise in production by 19pc in 2017-18

The Ministry of Textiles has provided an official statement of rise in production of bivotine silk in the country in 2017-18. Registering an increase of 19 percent the production may rise to around 6,200 million tonnes (MT) in 2017-18 as compared to 5,266 MT a year ago.

The ministry said Muga silk has recorded highest ever production of 170 MT and has acquired a new growth momentum. It added that Bivoltine silk production has grown by 105 per cent in the last three years and has enabled substantial import substitution.
