Denim manufacturer ISKO has unveiled a wellness collection that features Aloe Vera, Q10 and coffee microcapsules offering benefits for the skin.

The Turkish group is known for innovation in denim and holds 20 patents, with 100 more pending and 100 trademarks.

Its latest collection features 98 new fabrics, which includes the Mantra wellness collection as well as a finish called Vulcano that aids the laser process and a water-repelling option called UltraDry.

Covestro develops elastic fibers through CO2

Polymer materials manufacturer Covestro has developed a method of yielding elastic textile fibres through the partial use of carbon dioxide as a replacement to crude oils.

Produced in partnership with the Institute of Textile Technology at RWTH Aachen University, along with other collaborators, the fibres – made from CO2-based thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) – were created through the utilisation of a melt spinning technique that, unlike conventional dry spinning, is not reliant on harmful solvents.
