The founder of a fashion technology company called By Rotation is hoping to change consumer habits, and help the planet to boot.

Ecommerce in the United Kingdom will account for 53 percent of the country’s total retail sales by 2028. Factors powering this online growth are the fact Generation Z and Millennials will be half of the adult population in ten years, faster, cheaper and in-home delivery and fewer physical stores.

Currently, ecommerce in the United Kingdom accounts for 19.2 percent of total retail sales. It’s expected to grow to 33.8 percent by 2024 and even to 53 percent by 2028.

Origin is the UK's first fully not-for-profit fashion brand, and its founders are hoping to inspire others into a new way of doing business.

Tom and Alice Cracknell launched Origin last year, with the help of a crowdfunding campaign, to prove that fashion could truly be a force for good. Origin invests all of its profits into running humanitarian projects in the communities where the brand's fabrics come from - in Mali, Ethiopia and The Gambia.

United Kingdom High Commissioner Philip Barton addressing the business community at Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) in Faisalabad on Monday emphasized that the local business community need to play dynamic role to augment Pak-UK bilateral trade to 3 billion pounds by end of 2015.

Mr Barton said that more than 100 British companies were already working in Pakistan, adding that he would strive to convince others to come and invest in Pakistan.

He also expressed satisfaction over the increase in Pakistani exports to European Union after the grant of GSP Plus status.
