Tajikistan to support textile and clothing industry

Tajikistan is also successfully executing the International Trade Center (ITC) program, targeted at supporting the development of the textile and clothing industry and improving the quality management infrastructure. A complete production cycle was organized, including the production of raw materials, spinning, fabric manufacturing, and the manufacture of garments and carpets, in the middle of the last century. The main products are fabrics and garments made from them, denim pants, shorts, textiles, carpet and leather products.

The Arvind Store, part of the Arvind Group, one of India's largest integrated textile and apparel companies with a presence in branded garments, is one of the largest manufacturers and exporters of textiles products. It announced the launch of a new vertical, “Arvind”, offering ready-to-wear fashion apparel for men on Monday.

The ready-to-wear brand called Arvind, which will have clothes under three categories of "work, leisure and ceremonial." Kulin Lalbhai, Executive Director, Arvind Ltd, announcing the launch said that these garments will be priced upwards of Rs. 1,299.

Bangladesh government has set a target to earn foreign currency of $28,447.57m in the current fiscal year of 2015-16 after its textile sector earned foreign currency of $128,203.71 million in the six fiscal years since 2009-10, according to the statistics placed in the Parliament by Textile and Jute Minister Md Emaz Uddin Pramanik yesterday.

The textile sector earned foreign currency of $26,509.77m in FY2014-15, $25,508.77m in FY2013-14, $22,556.73m in FY2012-13, $21,496.57m in FY2011-12, $19,002.78m in FY2010-11 and $13,129.09m in FY2009-10.
