In Qianqing, PC (65/35) 32s yarn prices US cent 1 a kg in the third week of August while 45s PC combed yarn prices were stable during the week. 32s PV (65/35) were flat on the week.
Blended yarn prices changed course in line with the movement in fibre prices. PC yarns prices in China were adjusted lower for some specs and in line with a new fall of cotton prices. PV yarn prices remained firm as VSF prices continued to move up while PSF remain stably firm.

Blended yarn price rolls over in Asian markets
In Qianqing, PC (65/35) 32s yarn prices rolled over in the second week of August while 45s PC combed yarn prices were stable on the week. 32s PV (65/35) were flat on the week.
Blended yarn prices moved in different directions in Asian markets, largely moved by the cotton markets. In China, polyester cotton and polyester viscose yarn prices remained unchanged although cotton and PSF were cheaper. However, next week may reflect this downtrend.

In China, blended yarn markets were supported by surge in cotton, polyester and viscose fibre prices over the past few weeks. Both PC and PV yarns were costlier by at least US cents 12-23 a kg on the week. Cotton and VSF prices have increased further that week and will reflect in yarn prices soon.

In Qianqing, PC (65/35) 32s yarn prices moved up US cents 5 a kg in the second week of July while 45s PC combed yarn prices inched up on the week. 32s PV (65/35) were up US cents 6 during the week. Blended yarn price falls on depressed demand in China
In Qianqing, PC (65/35) 32s and 45s PC combed yarn prices were both down US cents 2-3 a kg in the last week of June. 32s PV (65/35) were down US cents 2 a kg on the week. In China, there was negligible variation in blended yarn prices, reflecting trends on fiber markets. Demand remained relatively depressed, as usual in this part of the year. Yarn maker could however take advantage of the Brexit vote that pushed US$ up against the Renminbi. As a result, import yarn prices rose and demand from yarn buyers could decline further.

Blended yarn price inches up in China
In Qianqing, PC (65/35) 32s yarn prices inched up US cent 1 a kg while 45s PC combed yarn prices rolled over during the week. In China, polyester-cotton prices gained marginally driven by firming cotton prices but limited by sobering PSF values.
In Pakistan, polyester-cotton and polyester-viscose yarn prices remained mostly stable with only 16s and 20s PC falling in the week. PSF prices were stuck at same level on the domestic market while cotton prices showed signs of weakening due to poor demand.
