In Qianqing, PC (65/35) 32s yarn prices moved up US cents 5 a kg in the second week of July while 45s PC combed yarn prices inched up on the week. 32s PV (65/35) were up US cents 6 during the week. Blended yarn prices took a sharp upturn in China due to surging raw material cost. Both cotton and viscose price have been on the steep uptrend due to supply shortage, mainly of the latter.
In Pakistan, no significant change was reported on PC and PV yarn prices as market activities have however improved on the Faisalabad yarn market, implying that prices could increase in the coming week. Domestic suppliers were happier with the new tax rules and their margins are likely to increase in coming days.
In India, PV and PC yarn prices remained stable at firm levels, given the increase in cotton prices.
