In Qianqing, PC (65/35) 32s yarn prices rolled over in the second week of August while 45s PC combed yarn prices were stable on the week. 32s PV (65/35) were flat on the week.
Blended yarn prices moved in different directions in Asian markets, largely moved by the cotton markets. In China, polyester cotton and polyester viscose yarn prices remained unchanged although cotton and PSF were cheaper. However, next week may reflect this downtrend.
In Pakistan, PC yarn prices moderated in line with fall in cotton prices while PV yarns were stable. 20s PC (52/48) carded yarn prices gained PakRe1 per pound on the Faisalabad market while 30s rolled over during the week. PV 30s were also unchanged on the week.
In India, as cotton prices were retreating in the past two weeks, PC yarn prices gave back some of the gains while PV yarn prices rolled over since PSF and VSF prices were stubbornly flat since a long time. 30s (65/35) PV warp yarns were flat in Indore market. In Ludhiana, PC 30s (52/48) prices fell US cents 2 a kg.
