In Qianqing, PC (65/35) 32s yarn prices rose US cents 4 a kg in the third week of July while 45s PC combed yarn prices remained flat on the week. 32s PV (65/35) were up US cents 7 a kg on the week. Blended yarn prices were supported by the rising cost of cotton while VSF prices has risen sharply in the past few weeks. In China, PC and PV yarns were dearer by US cents 4-7 a kg on the week.
In India, although cotton prices has surged more than 30% over the past two months, PC yarn prices continued to remain steady while PV yarn inched up again for third consecutive week. 30s (65/35) PV warp yarns inched up INR1 a kg (up US cents 2) in Indore market. In Ludhiana, PC 30s (52/48) prices rolled over during the week.
In Pakistan, higher import offers supported blended yarn markets as PC yarns markets were seen following the trend, although PSF and VSF prices were remained unmoved, excepting for cotton. PC yarn prices have risen 2% in the week while polyester-viscose yarns remained flat. 20s PC (52/48) carded yarn prices gained PakRs2 per pound on the Faisalabad market while 30s was also up during the week.
