Epson presents its textile printing solutions at Heimtextil 2019

This year too Epson will participate in Heimtextil, Frankfurt, on 8-11 January 2019. The company will present its offer for the home textile market to both operators in the sector and to visitors by creating a living room in partnership with Brochier, the prestigious brand of top of the range furnishing fabrics. Some furnishing items will be displayed in this setting. Sofa, armchairs, poufs, curtains and carpets have been made of fabrics printed by Monna Lisa, featuring the suggestive motif of the Utopian Philodendron, chosen from the company’s archive of furnishing fabrics.

All Pakistan Bedsheet and Upholstry Manufacturers Association Chairman Syed Muhammad Aasim Shah has praised the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) for extending the export package worth Rs 195 billion for the next three years, saying it will help enhance the country’s export receipts. The package is aimed at improving competitiveness of textile and non-textile sectors of Pakistan in a bid to increase the pace of growth in exports in coming financial years.

Pakistan is the 8th largest exporter of textile commodities in Asia and textile sector contributes 8.5% to the GDP of Pakistan. The total textile sector exports reached $7.72bn value-wise in July-January 2018 versus $7.2bn in the corresponding period of last year, reflecting an increase of 7.18 pc.

The Pakistan government had allocated Rs. 6 billion for Textile Policy initiatives for 2016-17 while support schemes would also continue during this year which include Sales Tax of five export oriented sectors namely textile, leather, sports goods, surgical goods and carpets had been made part of zero rated tax regime from July 1, 2016.

Indian textile exports fall short by 3.6bn of target set 45bn for FY15

India’s textile exports stood at 41.4 billion, shortfall of 3.6bn from the target set of 45 billion for 2014-15. There was a small increase in the overseas sales of handicrafts (17 percent), carpets (15 percent), readymade garments (12 percent), silk (13 percent), and wool and woolen textiles (18 percent), said an official statement.

For the current fiscal, Textiles Ministry has set an exports target of USD 47.5 billion, Textiles Secretary S K Panda said while addressing a press conference.
