The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) under the patronage and support of the Government of Sri Lanka will hold the Single Country Exhibition in Colombo scheduled for January 2017. One of the primary aims to organize this exhibition was to introduce the diverse goods and commodities being produced in Pakistan to the Sri Lankan consumers.

The exhibition provides an opportunity to explore the Pakistani market in Sri Lanka. The Pakistani exhibition held last January was a great success as all companies had received tremendous response from Sri Lankan buyers and visitors.

The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) is organizing a Pakistan Trade Caravan to display Pakistani products of interest in selected states from next week to expand the country’s export base and create linkage with other regional countries, especially with the Central Asian Republics (CARs).

The purpose of the Pakistan Trade Caravan is to increase export base, raise awareness on Pakistan and its products, provide opportunities for joint ventures, investment and brand franchising exhibition and composite display.

The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) has taken decision to hold an exhibition named Pakistan Trade Caravan in Tajikistan and other Central Asian states, following the visit of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to Tajikistan where he met Tajik President Emomali Rahmon to further promote bilateral relation.

Both countries Pakistan and Sri Lanka failed to fully utilize the FTA that came into effect in 2005 due to which bilateral trade remains range bound with an average of $350 million for the last six years. The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) Secretary Rabiya Javeri Agha said that it aims to double its exports to Sri Lanka in a year’s time effectively using the duty concession under the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) from the current $267 million to $500 million.

After the encouraging response received from the first lifestyle exhibition held in New Delhi, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) will be organizing 2nd edition of Lifestyle Pakistan exhibition “Alishan Pakistan” from September 11-14 in New Delhi.

More than 150 participants are expected to show case their product at the event. The exhibition will showcase top quality of Pakistan’s textiles, including high-end designer wear, lawn, home textile, readymade garments, and fabric. Various furniture houses will also exhibit and sell their products.
