ICBC approved the investment plan for the Faisalabad Shandong Ruyi Textile Park

A delegation from the International Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) visited the project site and approved the investment plan for the Faisalabad Shandong Ruyi Textile Park, according to Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company (FIEDMC) officials.

Shandong Ruyi, largest textile conglomerates in China in order to start construction work for Pakistan’s largest cotton-spinning mills has made their first installment to the FIEDMC.

The Ministry of Textiles has identified Odisha’s four handloom clusters - Berhampur cluster in Ganjam district, Badamba in Cuttack district, Gopalpur I and Gopalpur II in Jajpur district and Sonepur mega cluster in Sonepur district, to promote textile tourism in the State.

The four handloom clusters will soon get tourism tag as these clusters are located in proximity to tourism spots like Gopalpur-on-sea, Maniabandh Buddhist village and Diamond Triangle of Ratnagiri, Lalitgiri and Udaygiri, the Ministry aims to link promotion of tourism and handloom through textile tourism.

The Minister for Textile Industry (MoTI), Pakistan has taken step to meet the international standards for cotton as well as to higher Pakistan textile exports to other countries.

The MoTI has instructed provincial governments to implement the cotton control Act to ensure standardization and grading of cotton according to international standards adopted by the Pakistan Cotton Standards Institute (PCST).
