Evonik Industries AG has broken ground on a 400 million euro ($442.1 million) production plant for nylon 12 at its manufacturing site in Marl, Germany.

The new unit, which represents Evonik’s biggest single investment in Germany to date, will expand the company’s nylon 12 production capacity by more than 50 percent, Evonik officials said in a Sept. 17 news release which did not provide specific capacity details.

WASHINGTON, April 29, 2019: On April 29, 2019, the U.S. Department of Commerce ("Commerce Department") announced affirmative preliminary determinations that producers and exporters of imports of polyester textured yarn from China and India are being unfairly subsidized by their respective governments at double- and triple-digit margins, as follows.

The Materials Chemicals Performance Intermediaries (MCPI) Private Limited has evinced interest in setting up a polyester continuous polymerisation and allied yarn project at the textile park in Bhadrak district.
