The approved investments will be in the form of equipment that will affect all of the processes — polycondensation, spinning and textile processing — at the Guben site where Trevira produces filament specialties for the textile industry. A total sum of approx. 7.5 million euros is scheduled to be invested. These investments will generate additional quantitative growth and optimize processes and procedures at Trevira’s site in Guben where flat and texturized filament yarns are produced for automotive interiors, technical textiles, apparel, and home textiles.

Tamil Nadu Government is planning to introduce a New Integrated Textile Policy to boost textile industry in the state, which is the capital of knitwear and various textile products. The State Government to encourage entrepreneurship in technical textiles has allocated Rs. 25 lakh to Sir Vallabbhai Patel International School of Textiles and Management, Minister for Handlooms and Textiles O.S. Manian speaking at the two day working on technical textile said on Saturday. A dedicated technical textiles wing has been created at the institute.

He further added that the State Government is taking every effort to support the development of the handloom and textiles sector.

A 112-Member Business Delegation comprising of 51 leading manufacturer exporters from Textile and Apparel Industry from India is in Dubai exhibiting their products in the "Indian Pavilion" at International Apparel & Textile Fair held from 1st to 3rd November 2017 at Dubai World Trade Centre.

Maharashtra Cooperation, Marketing and Textiles Minister Subhash Deshmukh at CII Conference on Achieving Sustainable Growth in Textile and Apparel Industry through Manufacturing Excellence said that the Maharashtra government will be coming out with the new textile policy for year 2017-2022 soon.

The Maharashtra government is working out a new textile policy and has invited inputs from all the industry member in this regard.
Textile Commissioner Kavita Gupta, who was also present on the occasion, said that the government is focussed on value added garments and technical textiles.

Algerian EPE-EATIT- SPA group that cover a large range of textiles from garments to home textiles, professional clothes, and technical textiles has ordered a coating and laminating line from Germany’s Bruckner, leading producer of high-tech lines for the dry finishing of knitted and woven fabrics.

Recently EATIT bought 52 DORNIER looms to produce woven fabric made of polyamide and cotton for the domestic market. The old lines of the finishing and coating division have been replaced by new lines in order to carry improved production standard with modern equipment.
