Boogie, Twist and Swing are names for new fabrics

Keeping with it’s sock hop celebration theme, the company is releasing a collection of Celliant Home textiles with names like Boogie, Twist and Swing. Celliant textiles are already used in a wide range of products including bedding and athletic apparel.

Wadia group’s textile firm Bombay Dyeing & Manufacturing Company Ltd (BDMC) has received approval from its board of directors at the meeting held on 25 May to sell/dispose off its textiles processing unit situated at Ranjangaon in Maharashtra, to Delhi based Oasis Procon, a textile manufacturer established in 2004 together with all specified tangible and intangible assets in relation the the undertaking (excluding its brand name and specific liabilities) for Rs 230 crore ($36.2 million), according to a stock market disclosure.

DuPont plans investment of $30mn to expand sorona production in Kinston, N.C.

DuPont plans to invest $30 million over the next three years and create 18 new jobs at its facility in Kinston, N.C. The company’s Kinston site produces DuPont Sorona renewably sourced polymer.

Sorona is made in part from annually renewable plant-based ingredients and is used primarily in fiber applications, including textiles used in apparel, home furnishings, and for carpets, including residential, commercial and automotive carpets and mats.
