In China, PC (65/35) 32s yarn prices in Zhejiang remained unchanged in the last week of May, while 45s PC combed yarn prices rolled over on the week. PV 32s were traded stable during the week.
Blended yarn prices did not move in China's domestic market, as activity was reduced by a holiday shortened week. On the import market too, prices were relatively stable, due to slightly dropping in US$ terms whereas rising in yuan terms.
In China, offers for ring‐spun 30s weaving yarn in Xiaoshan declined US cents 3 a kg in the last week of May while compact siro‐spun 40s yarn in Jiangsu also fell US cents 3 on the week.
Viscose spun yarn markets were stable to weak in China while liquidity of vortex‐spun yarn and siro‐spun yarn slightly improved. Prices for siro‐spun yarn and ring‐spun yarn were down on the week as VSF prices generally stepped into a range bound period. Siro-spun rayon yarn performance slightly better.

Spun viscose yarn prices decreased further in China amid modest liquidity. Many yarn makers were facing high inventory pressure, and thus mostly mulled to extend holidays for the upcoming Dragon Boat festival. However, with VSF prices likely to bottom out, yarn markers may get cost support and few may raise offers slightly.

On the other hand, the numbers for rabbit‐hair‐like yarn 28s were stable.

Offers for ring‐spun yarn edged down in Xiaoshan while 40s dropped sharply in Jiangsu. Prices of Fujian‐origin siro‐spun 40s yarn were also seen dropping briefly.
