In China, PC (65/35) 32s yarn prices in the fourth week of May rolled over in Zhejiang, while 45s PC combed yarn prices remained unchanged on the week.
Blended yarn prices remained stagnant in China as inventories were relatively low and demand is expected to rapidly slow down, in line with the usual fall in textile production during June. However, with rising PSF prices and steady VSF market will somehow continue to support blended yarn markets.
In India, PC and PV yarn prices rolled over on the domestic markets but were down on export markets since demand from China remained subdued where fiber prices remain attractive for local spinners, allowing them to price their yarn lower than foreign rivals.
In Pakistan, blended yarn prices were relatively flat on the week as fiber prices were moving in different directions.
