Caprolactum price continues upward trend in China

In China, liquid good offers rose to US$1,460-1,505 a ton in the last week of February while solid goods offers were stable at US$1,505-1,535 a ton. Asian markers, the SE and FE markers further gained US$20 a ton.

Both, Sinopec and DSM Nanjing announced their February contract settlements at US$1,470 a ton and US$1,475 a ton respectively, for liquid goods.

High end imported goods for February was not been settled, with discussions at US$1,150-1,180 a ton.

Nylon yarn price dips despite rising raw material cost

In China, semi-dull FDY70D/24F prices rolled over in the third week of February while FDY40D fell US cents 7 a kg on the upper end.

Nylon DTY 70D/24F prices rolled over while 30D/10F prices were stable on the week.

Monofilament 30D prices was unchanged while 1.5D staple fiber slipped US cents 9 a kg.

Weakness stilled lingered over nylon yarn market, although raw material prices were flat to firm that week. However, the markdown was limited as nylon yarn makers operated near the breakeven.

Caprolactum prices rise on rebounding demand in China

In China, liquid good offers rose to US$1,460-1,505 a ton in the third week of February while solid goods offer increased to US$1,505-1,535 a ton.

Asian markers, the SE and FE markers gained US$20 a ton.

Both, Sinopec and DSM Nanjing announced their February contract nomination at US$1,535 a ton for liquid goods. Sporadic offers for high-end February contract were at US$1,320 a ton CFR China.

Nylon yarn price remains stable in Asian market

In China, semi-dull FDY70D/24F prices rolled over while FDY40D were stable in the second week of February.

Nylon DTY 70D/24F prices remained unchanged while 30D/10F prices were steady on the week.

Monofilament 30D prices rolled over US$2.37-2.60 a kg while 1.5D staple fiber were at US$2.07-2.17 a kg.

Nylon filament yarn markets were flat on the back of stable caprolactum and nylon chips prices. However, lower offtake and slower demand with inventory at 25-30 days’ worth pushed the markets into dull atmosphere amid Lunar New Year holidays.

Caprolactum price falls in China amid inactive trading

In China, liquid good offers fell US$45 a ton while solid goods offer was down US$15 a ton in the second week of February.

Asian markers, the SE and FE markers rolled over at US$1,050-1,100 a ton.

Sinopec’s January contract settlement was at US$1,455 a ton for liquid goods while DSM Nanjing’s settlement was at US$1,460 a ton for liquid goods in the previous week.

Caprolactum markets in Asia were flat to down during the holidays and ahead of the festival. In China, prices were flat amid inactive trading, with players leaving for holiday.

In China, semi-dull FDY70D/24F prices fell to US$2.14-2.22 a kg while FDY40D were at US$2.30-2.60 a kg in the first week of February.

Nylon DTY 70D/24F price rolled over at US$2.37-2.57 a kg while 30D/10F prices remained unchanged at US$3.14-3.29 a kg.

Monofilament 30D prices rolled over at US$2.37-2.60 a kg while 1.5D staple fiber were at US$2.11-2.17 a kg.

Nylon filament yarn market was flat on the back of stable caprolactum and nylon chips prices amid rebounding crude oil and benzene.

In China, liquid good offers rolled over at US$1,425-1,440 a ton with selling indications at US$1,410-1,425 a ton. Solid goods offer fell to US$1,470-1,485 a ton.

Sinopec cut its January contract settlement to US$1,455 a ton for liquid goods while DSM Nanjing’s settlement was at US$1,460 a ton for liquid goods.

Caprolactum prices remained flat amid inactive trading as most players in China had left for Lunar New Year holidays during that week.

In China, semi-dull FDY70D/24F prices fell US cents 4 a kg on the upper end while FDY40D were down US cents 7 a kg in the last week of January.

Nylon DTY 70D/24F price rolled over while 30D/10F prices remained unchanged during the week.

Monofilament 30D prices were stable while 1.5D staple fiber was at US$2.11-2.17 a kg.

Nylon filament yarn prices were range bound in weakness and declines were seen in few specs as operating pressure eased with softening of caprolactum and nylon chip prices.

In China, liquid good offers were down US$15 a ton with selling indications also down US$15 a ton.

Solid goods offer fell to US$1,480-1,495 a ton.

Sinopec cut its January contract settlement at US$1,450 a ton for liquid goods while DSM Nanjing announced settlement at US$1,460 a ton for liquid goods.

Caprolactum prices eased on insipid demand and range-bound raw materials and market participants operated on hand-to-mouth volumes.

In China, semi-dull FDY70D/24F prices fell US cents 3 a kg in the third week of January while FDY40D were stable on the week.

Nylon DTY 70D/24F prices rolled over while DTY 30D/10F prices declined US cents 4-7 a kg.

Monofilament 30D prices also fell US cents 8 a kg while 1.5D staple fiber dipped US cents 3-6 a kg on the week.

Nylon filament yarn markets sustained the weakness caused easing low operating pressure due to softening of caprolactum and nylon chip prices. Downstream consumers will shut down units in late January and will be cautious following up.
