Freudenberg Nonwovens to strengthen its production facility in Brazil

Freudenberg Group’s Freudenberg Nonwovens, Germany based company is investing in nonwoven production in Brazil. The investment is part of a 40 million Brazilian Reais budget (around 13.2 million Euros) that Freudenberg had earmarked for the region in 2013 for innovations, capacity expansion and general process optimization.

Thanks to the new technology and production plant, the facility at Jacareí will to be strengthened for the future. Brazil is one of the Freudenberg Group's strategic growth markets where they would like to gain greater market share

Premiere Fibers Inc and Rhodoa Fibras have partnered to introduce Emana PA 6,6 smart yarn using Emana technology which differs from other technologies offering FIR-related benefits. They plan to launch Emana yarn in the United States and Canada markets.

Pakistan textile sector has started raising alarm over yarn being dumped from India. A member of textile sector has expressed his concerns to Secretary Textile Rukhsana Shah regarding the dumping of yarn by the Indians.

Dr Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, former advisor to the Prime Minister on textile, urged the government to impose countervailing duty on the import of yarn from India.

Grupa Azoty, is of the leading manufacturer of chemical sector in Poland plans to start nylon 6 production at its Tarnów plant in Poland which is operated by Azoty's subsidiary Zakłady Azotowe Tarnów (ZAT).

They will produce nylon 6 with the use of the caprolactam (CPL) supplied by the group's Zakłady Azotowe Puławy (ZAP) plant. The new installation is to be located on a 130,000-square-meter site.

Vietnam garment-textile production sees upward growth trend

The Vietnam Ministry of Industry and Trade have reported the highest growth rate in the garment-textile industry among all industries in January. The production index of national garment-textiles during the month of January 2014 has increased by 26.9 percent over the same period in 2013.

According to the report, importing textiles and garments worth US$2.5 billion from Vietnam in the first four months of 2013, the US remained the biggest importer of Vietnamese textiles and garments. It was followed by Japan with US$664.43 million and the EU with US$664.77 million.
