The diversified textile manufacturer has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Polartec, a global brand that develops performance textiles for outdoor and military apparel, from Versa Capital Management.
The acquisition is expected to close this month. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The exhibiting companies are Align, Cocona 37.5, Diyang Merino, e-dye, Klingler, Outlast, Penn Textile Solutions, Polartec, Rudholm Group, Sympatex, Thermore, and The Woolmark Company. The inaugural event also includes industry presentations and professional networking, complimentary workshops, and matchmaking programmes.
Polartec, LLC, manufacturer of fabrics for garment manufacturing companies and best known for inventing fleece materials for companies like Patagonia, North Face and LL Bean is relocating part of its textile operations from Massachusetts to southeastern Tennessee, at its Cleveland factory.
Polartec, which makes specialized fabrics for outdoor wear as well as the military, acquired the United Knitting Mills in Cleveland a year ago and began making its move from Massachusetts.
