Indian textile machinery industry likely to boost with the growth in the textile sector and upcoming new projects along with the initiative taken to set up textile parks across the country by the government which help the textile machinery market to double to Rs 45,000 crore in the next 7 years from the present Rs 22,000 crore, according to India ITME Society Chairman Sanjiv Lathia.

Moreover, the Modi government's Make in India programme is also expected to help the textile sector by way of increase in demand for modern machineries.

India's 'leading textile engineering expo -- Global Textile Technology & Engineering Show- 2015 (GTTES-2015), is all set to open on 20-22 January 2015 at the Bombay Convention & Exhibition Centre, Goregaon East , Mumbai. The 3-day mega event is supported by Ministry of Heavy Industry, Government of India and Textile Department, Govt. of Maharashtra. More than 282 Indian and foreign exhibitors will be exhibiting their products on 11,500 sq. metres of area. The show is organized by India ITME Society.

The first Global Textile Technology & Engineering Show (GTTES) 2015 is all set to open up with focus on the post-spinning segment and provide a one stop solution for every business in the textile sector.

More than 300 exhibitors are expected at this event, with strong representation from countries such as China, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, the US and India. Seven companies from Coimbatore are also expected to participate, according to International Textile Machinery Exhibitions Society, India (ITME) organizer of this event.
