All India Handloom Exp organized jointly by Maharashtra Textile Corporation, Indrayani and the National Handloom Corpn and Weavers Associations of various states has been arranged at Nagpur. This is the fourth time this exhibition is held at Nagpur since Nagpurians always give it a very good response. It has been held in Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad and Nasik too but Nagpur is their favourite venue. This year fifty four artisans from all over the country are participating in the event.

Texprocess, leading international trade fair for processing textile and flexible material will provide a showcase of current sustainable processing technologies this time. According to a recent study of VDMA, machines produced by German manufacturers allow to save 28% of energy and 33% of water in a comparison between the years 2014 and 2004 within the spinning, knitting and finishing processes.

The cotton prices remained stable as buyers in cotton market tried to replenish their stocks with quality lint. Most of the buyers remained busy dealing in fine grades. However, buyers bought all grades during trading session in all stations of Sindh and Punjab, while KCA kept spot rate at Rs 4,950 per maund, traders at Karachi Cotton Association (KCA) said on Wednesday.

The stakeholders in Punjab stations remained eager for fine grades for producing better end products but power outages and load shedding in textile and ginning units slowed down production capacity.
