Kyrgyzstan to sign accord with Pakistan in textile sector

Kyrgyz Charge d' Affaires Sagynbek Ibraev speaking at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) said Kyrgyzstan wants to build strong trade and economic relations with Pakistan and is ready to sign accords in the textile and pharmaceutical sectors. Pakistan is an important country of South Asia and could help Kyrgyzstan to establish relations with Central Asian states. In a bid to promote a two-way trade, an exhibition of the Pakistani textile and pharmaceutical products can be arranged in Kyrgyzstan to attract Kyrgyz customers.

Nylon price sees continuous fall in China

Nylon filament yarn prices fell further in the third week of August with the easing of operating cost pressure due to lower caprolactum and nylon chips prices. Textile yarn makers continued to cut run rates on poor confidence. In late August, yarn may carry out production cutbacks given the demand off season for textiles amid lackluster economy situation.

Caprolactum price tumbles in Asian market

Caprolactum prices softened in the third week of August reflecting weaker benzene and bearish demand. Low-end liquid spot offers were corrected down while offers for low-end solid goods also fell. Sinopec lowered its August contract nomination while DSM Nanjing’s nomination was steady. High-end contract prices were in negotiation.

The 14th International Textile Asia Exhibition took off to a good start with orders worth $150 million booked on the opening day, while deals worth more than $300 million were agreed to during the three day mega textile fair organised by the Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PRGMEA). It witnessed around 55,000 visitors during first two days while more than 100,000 visitors registered their presence in textile fairs in three days.
