Utenos trikotažas, the largest knitwear manufacturer in Central and Eastern Europe committed to eliminating by 2020 any raw materials likely to have adverse effects on humans or the environment from its production chains at all stages of the product life cycle, from the start of production, through packing, to the wearing, washing sorting and recycling of clothing. This year, they have officially joined the Greenpeace Detox campaign.

Lidl, the fourth largest retailer worldwide, wants all toxic textile chemicals out of its textile products by 1 January 2020, a decision taken under Greenpeace’s pressure. A release said, Lidl is aware of its responsibility for people and the environment. It is its priority to eliminate their use across Lidl’s supply chain and operations for all footwear and apparel.
