Designer and textile revivalist Vidhi Singhania and Rajkumari Nandini Singh of Jhabua (Madhya Pradesh) paying 'An Ode to Indian Textile Heritage', recently launched their respective collections here. The Victoria & Albert Museum in London will open its doors to The Fabric of India which will run from October 3 to January 10, 2016. The Fabric of India will showcase close to 200 handmade objects, from the earliest known Indian textile fragments to contemporary fashion.

The exhibit will display pieces from ancient ceremonial banners, to a tent used by Tipu Sultan (1750-1799), the famed ruler of the Kingdom of Mysore and also a stunning range of historic costume, highly prized textiles made for international trade, and cutting-edge fashion by celebrated Indian designers.

The Fashion and Textile Museum is a cutting edge centre for contemporary fashion, textiles and jewellery in London will be showcasing inspirational vintage knitwear from the 20th century that have defined fashion styles and trends over the years.

Chanel to Westwood - Knitwear in Fashion is the first exhibition of its kind to explore not only key designers but also technical innovations in hand, machine and industrial knitting.
