ThreadSol announces partnership with the Thai Garment Manufacturers Association

The TGMA was established on 15 August 1973 with the purpose of actively encouraging and supporting the Thai apparel industry in terms of research, development, production, trade and other activities associated with the Thai garment industry.

ThreadSol and TGMA jointly organised a seminar for Thai garment manufacturers on 18 May –Apparel Tech Up Forum Thailand 2018 firstly and the theme of the seminar was Digitisation of the Thai Garment Industry.

Sri Lankan textile exports are expected to experience a downfall because of the U.S. led Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade pact. Competition from TPP signatories such as Vietnam could deal a blow to the South Asian nation's apparel export industry, which currently employs half a million Sri Lankans and provides 44 percent of all manufactured goods exported by the country.

Brandix sign MoU with SLIC to promote innovation in Sri Lankan textile sector

Brandix, Sri Lanka’s largest textiles and garments exports holding company through Brandix’s Disrupt Unlimited start-up have entered into an agreement with Sri Lanka Inventors Commission (SLIC) to establish a partnership to promote innovation in Sri Lanka and enhance opportunities in the fields of Textile, Apparel and Accessories. As Sri Lankan textile firms is looking to innovation to fuel growth with its exports soaring up 15.7% in the first five months of the year.
