ACIMIT to conduct seminar for the Russian manufacturer on Italian textile machinery technology

ACIMIT plans to conduct a seminar for the Russian manufacturers which will impart personally knowledge of the state-of-the-art in Italian textile machinery technology. The Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) is clearly expressed its discontent against government imposing of anti-dumping duty on imports of Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) into India due to broad divergence in its demand supply. The Karnataka government bans sale of Mahyco’s BT and hybrid seeds in the state as crops in seven of its districts failed due to the substandard quality of seeds supplied by Maharashtra-based seed Company causing huge losses to cotton growers.

The farmers who used Mahyco’s seed failed to yield good crop and filed a complaint to the Department of Agriculture. On conducting a survey, it was found that crops had failed owing to the substandard quality of seeds.

The capacity at 31.3 million tons exceeds global mill consumption which is at 29.7 million tons.
