Third edition of TUMEXPO 2015 starts in Istanbul

Third edition of Tumsiad Industry and Trade Fair (TUMEXPO 2015) a four day event was inaugurated by the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday at Istanbul Convention Center in the heart of Istanbul, Turkey. The event is expecting over 25000 visitors.

Tümsiad Industry and Trade Fair which is arranged on 22-25 October 2015, will bring together companies which are active in the leading sectors like machine, textile, food, automotive, cosmetic, building etc. with international companies.

Pakistan expected to import more than 3.35 lakh high quality cotton bales from US

Pakistan, a cotton producing country ranks the eighth largest US cotton importer. The country imported1.69 lakhs of cotton bales from US in the previous fiscal year. In the current fiscal year (2014-15), Pakistan has committed to import more than 3.35 lakh bales from US.

Dahlen K Hancock, president of Cotton Council International (CCI) believes there is potential for even greater sales of US cotton to this growing market. CCI, which is the US’s export promotions arm, conducted the trade mission.

Pakistan seeking major breakthrough in textile exports to China

Pakistani delegation consisting of Secretary Ministry of Textiles Amir Khan Marwat and Director Kanwar Usman is on visit to China to hold meetings with the Chinese government on free trade agreement between the two countries.

Pakistan is expected to not only get a major breakthrough in textile exports to China, but also opening of first Pakistani bank’s branch is also on the cards, where Pakistani officials would hold meetings with host government, to extend maximum facilitation to the Pakistani exporters after the opening of new bank.
