High profil meetings generated serious business leads at Texpo 2016

On the 2nd day of the TEXPO 2016, organized by TDAP, the delegations from South Americas, Jordan, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Nigeria and India met with TDAP CE S M Muneer and TDAP Secretary Rabya Javeri Agha. The high profile meetings generated some serious business leads.

The delegation from Jordan, led by Aman chamber of commerce & textile and ready-made clothes syndicates, shared great enthusiasm for hosting a single country exhibition of Pakistan, which will be organized by the TDAP in Jordan.

Indonesia plans to achieve export target of US$3.87 billion to Turkey within the next four years by facilitating Turkish businesses as well as promoting domestic products, according to the Trade Ministry’s director general for national export development, Nus Nuzulia Ishak.

Indonesia would be facilitating potential Turkish buyers to come and connect them with local business to achieve the target. This would be carried out through buying missions and business forums, Nus said Monday.

Bangladeshi apparel products are losing orders over safety and compliance issues imposed after Rana Plaza tragedy and Tazreen Fashion fire incident. The declining trend is apprehended to be continued in the months to come unless measures are taken to boost up buyers’ confidence.

Apparel exports are losing edge in the US market to its competitors namely Vietnam, Cambodia, India and Indonesia, as buyers have started cutting back their orders.
