At Heimtextil India and Ambiente India, an exhibition which is being held at Pragati Maidan from June 20-22, 2017, Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India created world’s largest ecological cushion.

The 25-feet-tall textile masterpiece represents the ‘Fabrics and Embroideries of India’ created by Limca record holder and interior lifestyle designer Kanika Bawa.

Earlier Bawa has worked on attempts to break two records on the ‘Make in India’ platform with the largest Kolhapuri Chappals (installations of 8 ft 6 inches and 10 ft 6 inches) and tallest Kathakali chair (10 ft 6 inches).

With an aim to draw attention to India’s dominant position in textiles and home furnishings, Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India is set to create the world’s largest cushion at Heimtextil India this year. At 20 feet tall, this textile masterpiece, representing the ‘Fabrics and Embroideries of India’ is expected to create a record for the largest cushion in the world. The cushion will be on display at India’s leading home fashion business platforms – Heimtextil India and Ambiente India from 20th – 22nd June at Pragati Maidan trade grounds in New Delhi.

The 4th edition India's finest home fashion business platforms - Heimtextil India & Ambiente will be inaugurated by Union textiles minister Smriti Irani on June 20 in New Delhi. Over 180 leading companies from India, Bangladesh, China, Korea, Nepal, and Thailand will present their dining, living and home furnishing collections at the 3-day fair.

The minister will address the gathering and unveil the world's largest cushion representing ‘Fabrics of India’ at the fair.
