YiwuTex 2017 to bring new insight in textile production

The 18th edition of YiwuTex to be held soon in China with the aim to help garment manufacturers to enhance productivity and save cost, the “Functional Knitting Machinery Zone” will gather top-notch knitting and hosiery enterprises, including Zhejiang Yexiao (knitting machinery product development and manufacturing enterprise) and Hefei Opek (fully computerized jacquard hat & scarf knitting machine manufacturer) etc., who will be presenting their novel technology and intelligent production equipment at the event.

Coir Board expects exports to exceed last year’s ₹1,630 cr in current fiscal

The coir sector has fetched an export revenue of ₹1,630 crore in the last fiscal against ₹1,476 crore achieved in the previous year despite recessionary trends in the overseas markets, it has not deterred coir exports from the country, as the sector continues to register a better performance in the last few consecutive years.

CP Radhakrishnan, the newly-appointed Chairman of the Coir Board said that it is expecting exports in the current fiscal to exceed the last year’s levels as it already crossed ₹1,382 crore as on January.

Almeda Textile, one of Ethiopia’s largest vertically integrated textile company which supplies apparel to Sweden’s fast fashion retailer Hennes & Mauritz has concluded its Br86 million expansion that took place over the past six months in Adwa city to increase its fabric production capacity by 100pc.
