Caprolactum price edges down in China

In China, liquid good offers in spot market edged down to US$1,525-1,540 a ton while solid goods fell to US$1,585 a ton in the last week of December.

Sinopec announced January contract nomination at US$1,585 a ton for liquid goods while DSM Nanjing announced nomination at US$1,590 a ton for liquid goods and US$1,625 a ton for solid goods.

Asian markers, the SE and FE markers were pegged at US$1,240-1,260 a ton while December contract price for high-end goods were not announced.

Caprolactum price moves down due to weak benzene

In China, liquid good offers in spot market were down US$10 a ton due to weak currency while solid goods fell US$35 a ton in the third week of December.

Sinopec’s December contract nomination was at US$1,635 a ton while DSM Nanjing retained its nomination to US$1,680 a ton for solid goods.

Asian markers, the SE and FE markers slipped US$10 a ton while December contract price for high-end goods was offered at US$1,370-1,430 a ton CFR.

Caprolactum price remains stable amid snug supply

In the second week of December, the SE and FE Asian markers rolled over at US$1,250-1,270 a ton while December contract price for high-end goods was offered at US$1,370-1,430 a ton CFR.

In China, liquid good offers in spot market were at US$1,630 a ton while solid goods were at US$1,680-1,695 a ton.

Sinopec retained December contract nomination at US$1,650 a ton while DSM Nanjing raised its nomination to US$1,695 a ton, up US$5 from last week for solid goods.

Caprolactum prices were stable that week, taking strength from snug supply and ignoring the drop in benzene prices.

Caprolactum prices stable to up in China

In China, liquid good offers in spot market were at US$1,645 a ton while solid goods were up US$35 a ton in the first week of December.

Sinopec announced December contract nomination at US$1,660 a ton, up US$10 from November while DSM Nanjing pegged its nomination at US$1,690 a ton for solid goods.

Asian markers, the SE and FE fell US$10 a ton on the upper end while November contract for high-end goods settled at US$1,310-1,330 a ton CFR.

Caprolactum offers were stable to up that week as benzene markets meandered either ways while buyers and sellers on the sidelines.

In China, liquid good offers were up US$40 a ton in the last week of November while solid goods were at US$1,640-1,660 a ton.

Sinopec’s November contract settlement was at US$1,650 a ton for liquid goods.

DSM Nanjing’s settlement for November was at US$1,690 a ton for solid goods.

Asian markers, the SE and FE fell US$50-70 a ton with buying indications at US$1,250 a ton and sporadic offers at US$1,300 a ton.

Trading values for East European goods were down US$50 a ton.

Caprolactum price declines on weak demand

In China, liquid good offers were down US$110 a ton while solid goods fell US$90 a ton in the last week of October.

Asian markers, the SE and FE were down US$10 a ton while trading values for East European goods also fell to US$1,350-1,370 a ton.

Caprolactum markets took weak signs with new capacity starting up, and prices went southbound on soft demand.

However, November contract nomination from Sinopec for high-end goods was hiked from October settlement.

Spot offers for liquid caprolactum fell from last week while discussions in Shandong softening.

In China, liquid good offers were at 11,500-11,600 Yuan a ton (US$1,810-1,825 a ton) while solid goods inched down to 11,400-11,800 Yuan a ton (US$1,790-1,855 a ton, down US$20).

Sinopec pegged its contract settlement for October at 11,300 Yuan a ton (US$1,775 a ton) for liquid goods while DSM Nanjing nominated for October to 11,900 Yuan a ton (US$1,870 a ton) for solid goods.

Asian markers, the SE and FE were up US$20 a ton in the fourth week of October while trading values for East European goods were at US$1,330-1,380 a ton.
