Caprolactum price declines on weak demand

YarnsandFibers News Bureau, 10-11-2015 12:59 -

In China, liquid good offers were down US$110 a ton while solid goods fell US$90 a ton in the last week of October.

Asian markers, the SE and FE were down US$10 a ton while trading values for East European goods also fell to US$1,350-1,370 a ton.

Caprolactum markets took weak signs with new capacity starting up, and prices went southbound on soft demand.

However, November contract nomination from Sinopec for high-end goods was hiked from October settlement.

Spot offers for liquid caprolactum fell from last week while discussions in Shandong softening.

Mainstream values for solid goods also moderated for small parcels.

Asian markers gave back some of their mid-October gains on weakening demand and easing cost pressure and insipid transaction.

Sinopec announced November contract nomination at 11,500 Yuan a ton (US$1,810 a ton, up US$35 from October) for solid goods.

European market settled some October business at a reduction of US$15-20 a ton from September as a result of a compromise on raw material costs.
