Viscose yarn export was valued at US$4.23 million or INR27 crore and volume at 1.42 million kg, implying average unit price realization of US$2.97 per kg in November 2015.
They were exported to 20 countries with Belgium at the top worth US$1.14 million. It was followed by Bangladesh with imports worth US$0.64 million. Both these markets accounted for 42 per cent of all viscose yarn exported in November.
Egypt, Bangladesh, Germany and Portugal were the fastest growing markets for viscose yarns while Algeria was the new major market.
Colombia, Guatemala, Canada, Peru and Bulgaria were the major ones among the 9 countries that did not import any viscose yarns during the month.
