Low operating pressure due to softening of caprolactum and semi-dull nylon chips prices, nylon filament yarn prices continued to moderate.
Nylon yarn makers trimmed operating rate facing poor demand with even some major operating at breakeven and faced supply glut, given the poor confidence.
Downstream makers were cautious to follow up after New Year’s Day. Moreover, rigid demand will further weaken as some fabric units will shut down in the second half of January.
Meanwhile, demand for staple fiber was slow and that for fishing-net yarn, monofilament and cord fabric was bleak at year-end.
