In China, semi-dull FDY70D/24F and FDY40D prices were both down US cents 1-2 a kg in the first week of June.
Nylon DTY 70D/24F prices were down US cent 1 a kg while 30D/10F prices fell US cent 1 a kg on the week.
Monofilament 30D prices edged down US cents 4 a kg while 1.5D staple fiber also fell US cents 4 a kg during the week.
Nylon filament yarn prices were stable‐to‐soft on the back of firm nylon chip and caprolactum cost. With low operating intentions against weak buying interest, sales and production were under pressure.
Demand was unchanged as warp‐knitting, weaving and AJ covering sector witnessed moderate liquidity. Circular‐knitting mills, lacing mills and covering mills reduced operating rate to 40% lacking fresh orders.
In case of non‐textile sectors, demand was lackluster in staple fiber, fishing‐net yarn, monofilament market and that was decent in cord fabric market.
