In China, semi-dull FDY70D/24F prices slipped US cents 7 a kg in the third week of May while FDY40D fell US cents 9 a kg.
Nylon DTY 70D/24F prices rolled over on the week while 30D/10F prices were down US cents 9 a kg.
Monofilament 30D prices were unchanged while 1.5D staple fiber fell US cents 9 a kg.
Nylon filament yarn prices moderated further as markets were mired in weakness on the back of dismal performance in nylon chip and caprolactum markets. However, monofilament and cord fabric prices remained unchanged.
Some downstream makers replenished small volumes as they lacked fresh orders, leading to slow liquidity.
Circular‐knitting mills and covering mills were operating at half capacity, while warp knitting mills and AJ covering mills were running at 70%.
Demand was lackluster in staple fiber, fishing‐net yarn, monofilament markets and was decent in cord fabric market.
