In China, semi-dull FDY70D/24F prices were up US cents 3 a kg in the third week of July while FDY40D were up US cents 8 a kg. Nylon DTY 70D/24F prices rose US cents 3 a kg while 30D/10F rolled over on the week. Nylon staple fiber 1.5D prices up US cents 10 a kg while monofilament 30D prices were stable during the week.
Nylon filament yarn prices marched higher to cover existing losses amid firmer raw materials. Yarn makers cut operating rate while buyers made marginal replenishment, contributing to better demand/supply balance.
Warp‐knitting, weaving and AJ covering sector witnessed smooth liquidity while circular‐knitting mills and lacing mills reduced operating rate. In non‐textile sectors, demand was moderate for staple fiber, fishing‐net yarn and monofilament markets while decent liquidity in cord fabric market.
