In China, FDY70D/24F SD prices were up US cents 4 a kg in the third week of September while FDY40D were up US cents 8 a kg on the week. DTY 70D/24F prices also rose US cents 4 a kg while 30D/10F were stable on the week.
Monofilament 30D prices rolled over while nylon staple fiber 1.5D prices were range bound during the week.
Nylon filament yarn prices marched higher on poor margins amid firm raw materials nylon chip and caprolactum prices. Nylon yarn makers operated normally, but against propping the market up. Supply/demand fundamentals were balanced in September with some procurement from the downstream mills.
Downstream warp‐knitting, weaving and AJ covering sector witnessed smooth liquidity while, circular‐knitting mills and lacing mills were still running low rate. With slack season coming to an end, producers will stock up products, indicating adequate order intakes.
