In China, semi-dull FDY70D/24F prices were down US cents 3 a kg at high-end in the first week of November while FDY40D fell US cents 8 a kg at high-end.
Nylon DTY 70D/24F prices also fell US cents 4 a kg while DTY 30D/10F were stable.
Monofilament 30D was flat at US$2.76-2.92 a kg and 1.5D staple fiber were at US$2.44-2.52 a kg.
Nylon filament yarn prices edged down as operating pressure decreased with the softening caprolactum and nylon chips price.
Nylon yarn makers lacked confidence on flagging demand. Fishing-net yarn and cord fabric makers saw better profit margins reflecting the general reduction in feedstock.
Demand for nylon yarn saw little improvement due to moderate performance in hosiery, underwear, weaving and warp-knitting sectors.
As the year-end approached, downstream mills consumed inventory and just bought hand to mouth yarn volume.
