In China, semi-dull FDY70D/24F prices rolled over in the last week of May while FDY40D fell US cents 4 a kg.
Nylon DTY 70D/24F prices declined US cents 4 a kg while 30D/10F prices fell US cents 8 a kg during the week.
Monofilament 30D prices were down US cents 4 a kg while 1.5D staple fiber edged down US cents 3 a kg on the week.
Nylon filament yarn prices hovered at low positions on the back of firm nylon chip and caprolactum values. In the downstream, some fabric makers made replenishment as they lacked new orders, leading to slow liquidity.
Circular knitting mills and covering mills reduced operating rate and as a result, nylon yarn makers faced increased sales pressure.
Rigid demand still dominated nylon yarn market, with warp‐knitting mills and AJ covering mills running at 70% capacity.
Demand was lackluster for staple fiber, fishing‐net yarn, monofilament market and was decent for cord fabric.
