In China, semi-dull FDY70D/24F prices were down US cents 2 a kg in the second week of May while FDY40D fell US cents 2 a kg.
Nylon DTY 70D/24F prices were down US cents 3-5 a kg while 30D/10F prices were stable during the week.
Monofilament 30D prices were unchanged on the week while 1.5D staple fiber fell US cents 7 a kg on the upper end.
Nylon filament yarn prices were stable‐to‐soft on the back of softening nylon chip and caprolactum costs. Staple fiber and cord fabric prices stayed flat. Some yarn makers made little replenishment as they lacked fresh orders, leading to slow liquidity.
Otherwise, rigid demand still dominated nylon yarn market, with circular‐knitting mills and covering mills operating at 50‐60% capacities, warp knitting mills and AJ covering mills running at 70%.
Demand was lackluster for staple fiber, fishing‐net yarn, monofilament and cord fabric.
