Prices of semi-dull FDY70D/24F in China were down US cents 5 a kg in the third week of November while FDY40D were down US cents 2 a kg.
Nylon DTY 70D/24F prices also fell US cents 2 a kg while DTY 30D/10F tumbled US cents 8 a kg.
Monofilament 30D was down at 17.00-18.00 Yuan a kg (US$2.67-2.82 a kg) and 1.5D staple fiber were at 15.80-16.00 Yuan a kg (US$2.48-2.51 a kg).
Nylon filament yarn prices edged down following easing cost pressure from sobering caprolactum and nylon chips cost.
Demand saw little improvement due to moderate performance in hosiery, underwear, weaving and warp-knitting sectors. Moreover, nylon-6 DTY was supported by rigid demand.
As year-end approaches, yarn makers were reclaiming liquidity, which weighed on market prices.
Demand for staple fiber was tolerable, while for fishing-net yarn, monofilament and cord fabric was modest.
