Caprolactum (CPL) prices in Asia were stable-to-down in the week ended 16 November 2018 while upstream feedstock prices witnessed bearish sentiment. In China, CPL prices for liquid goods were assessed down in the week amid limited trading activity.
In China, spot liquid good offers was down US$1 a ton as compared to last week while solid goods were also down US$1 on weak local currency.
Supply was moderating a bit with average run rate down at 71.5% during the week. Due to few plant shutdowns in the week, supply is likely to decrease in short term.
Overall, CPL prices will remain stable-to-weak in coming weeks while supply is likely to decrease mildly.
