In Qianqing, PC (65/35) 32s yarn prices rolled over in the last week of October while 45s PC combed yarn prices were stable on the week. 32s PV (65/35) were down US cents 2 a kg during the week. Blended spun yarn prices moved in different directions, depending on the specs. Viscose blended yarn prices in China retreated to lower levels, in line with the current fall of VSF prices.
Similarly, in Pakistan, polyester-cotton yarns were clearly declining from their level a week ago, although PSF prices were stable. Yarn producers were trying to replenish cotton stocks to avoid an expected reduction in domestic output for another year. 20s PC (52/48) carded yarn prices fell US cents 4 a kg on the Faisalabad market while 30s fell similarly during the week. PV 30s yarn prices were steady on the week.
In India, blended yarn price tended to remain stable since PSF and VSF prices remained neutralising the fall in cotton prices.
