In Qianqing, PC (65/35) 32s yarn prices were flat in the third week of February while 45s PC combed yarn prices were up US cents 3 a kg on the week. Blended yarn prices were rising on China's domestic and import markets with PSF and VSF prices sharply increasing in the week.
In Qianqing, PC prices of higher count yarn gained following the end of New Year holidays. Yarn import prices have more sharply increased in the week, adding US cents 3-4 a kg.
In Pakistan, recovery in business activities on the yarn market allowed suppliers to raise their prices for PC and PV yarns in the week. PSF prices rose while VSF prices stayed at firm levels. Cotton fiber prices too remained at high level due to a lower availability which is supporting blended yarn markets. PC yarn prices were up US cents 2 a kg on the Faisalabad market while 30s US cents 2 a kg on the week. PV 30s yarn also gained US cents 2 a kg during the week.
In India, PC and PV prices remained unchanged with no cue from fibre markets, although cotton was surging.
