In China, PC (65/35) 32s yarn prices rolled over in the second week of April in Qianqing, while 45s PC combed yarn prices were flat on the week.
Blended yarn prices generally rolled over depending on the change in fibre cost over the past few weeks. In China, a recovery in PSF prices supported PC and PV yarn markets while falling VSF prices helped recoup margins.
In Pakistan, PC and PV yarn prices did not change in the week, in line with the stability of raw material prices, excepting VSF prices.
In India, Indian spinners were confronted with a rise of INR, especially compared with a weaker Yuan. Export demand from other countries also weakened by the rising INR. There has been a gradual shift from cotton to polyester use in blended yarns.
