In China, PC (65/35) 32s yarn prices remained unchanged in Zhejiang in the first week of June, while 45s PC combed yarn prices rolled over on the week. PV 32s were down US cent 1 a kg.
Blended spun yarn prices continued to remain stable in China in line with the trends in fibre markets with cotton freezing at the same level for months, whereas PSF and VSF prices have declined. However, PC and PV yarn prices rolled over that week but may move in different directions as polyester use has been rising at spinning mills.
In India, PV prices were seen rising reflecting the recent upward revision in PSF prices as VSF cost remained stable. 30s (65/35) PV warp yarns prices inched up INR1 a kg (up US cents 3) while PC 30s (52/48) prices rolled over in Ludhiana.
In Pakistan, PC and PV yarns prices stayed unchanged over the week, in line with the stability in polyester and viscose fiber prices.
