In Qianqing, PC (65/35) 32s yarn prices were up US cents 3 a kg in the second week of December while 45s PC combed yarn prices were stable on the week. Blended yarn prices were supported by rising PSF and VSF prices that week although cotton movement was sluggish. In China, PV and PC yarn prices have begun inching up on sharper increase of PSF prices over the week.
In Pakistan, PC and PV yarns started rising in the week, however less significantly than PSF and VSF prices. Relatively larger sales of blended yarns were reported from the Faisalabad yarn market during the week. Exports were relatively slow and prices were flat. 20s PC (52/48) carded yarn gained US cents 3 per pound on the Faisalabad market while 30s were also up similarly. PV 30s yarn prices also gained US cent 3 per pound on the week.
In India, PV yarn prices inched up on PSF support while PC yarn prices rolled over on sluggish cotton markets. 30s (65/35) PV warp yarns prices were up INR1 a kg (up US cents 3) in Indore market while PC 30s (52/48) prices in Ludhiana were flat on the week.
